This mod adds realistic animation for many mobs as well as player characters. It takes care of all the small details that make Minecraft more lifelike, such as walking animations, attack animations, and running speed. When combined with other mods, it gives everything a more realistic feel.
Short walk (left) vs long walk (right)
Attack animations are also improved to look more natural by adding swaying and jittering to the character's limbs. Attack speed is also affected by weight and armor type to create a more dynamic experience. Each variation of walk, attack, run, and jump uses separate animations that are applied independently. This means that movements are not being slowed down or sped up when paired with mods like Project ELEX to give the world a very lively feel.
The mod also includes new items to help players create their own custom animations in-game by using item frames and paintings. These items can also be used as cosmetic decorations, so your house can be decorated with your favorite custom animations from the game. To get started, simply type /anim in chat to access some basic info about the mod. Custom animations can even be edited directly in-game using the crafting table!
